Where can I purchase my Epic Australia Pass?

The best way to purchase is at www.epicaustraliapass.com.au We encourage our guests to purchase as early as possible to lock in the lowest price and best benefits.

Must I pay in full for my Epic Australia Pass?

Pay $49 up front and lock in the best available price under our split payment option. The remaining balance is due on 1 May 2020 and will be automatically charged to the credit card used for the initial purchase.

If you opt to pay $49 up front, this is a partial payment and not a deposit. When you utilize our split payment option, you are committing to buy the Epic Australia Pass and are required to pay the remaining balance.

Where you have purchased multiple passes on the same credit card, the remaining balance may be charged over multiple days starting on 1 May 2020.

In the circumstance where your credit card payment for the remaining balance is not completed, your Pass and associated Epic Australia benefits will not be activated. In this event we will attempt to contact you to inform you that the credit card payment has been unsuccessful and to secure payment of the remaining balance. Please ensure a valid email address is provided for the express purpose of receiving communications regarding your transaction.

I bought an Epic Australia Pass online, when do I get my pass? 

Congratulations on your new Epic Australia Pass! If you're new to the Epic Australia Pass,  your pass will be mailed to you prior to the commencement of the 2020 Australian winter season.

Alternatively, you can have your photo taken and pass printed in person at a Perisher, Falls Creek or Hotham ticket office.

If you renewed your Epic Australia Pass, continue to use the same pass from last season. Your pass will be activated the day the full payment is received.

What are the requirements for my Epic Australia Pass photo? 

Our Epic Australia Pass products require a photo of each pass holder. If you have had an Epic Australia Pass in any past season you may already have a photo on file and may not need to upload a photo at this time. If you do not currently have a photo on file, please CLICK HERE to upload a photo to your account. 

Complete photo requirements: 

  • The photo should be recent – within the last 2 years for adults and 1 year for children.
  • The photo should show a clear, front view, full face of the guest.
  • The guest should be in normal attire, without headwear or glasses.
  • The guest should have a natural expression, eyes open and looking directly ahead.
  • The head should be centred in the photo and cover about 75-80% of the area of the photo.
Are there any benefits for buying my Epic Australia Pass early? 

Buying early ensures you are locking in the best available price. Plus, you can pay $49 today and pay the balance on 1 May 2020. 

How does the Epic Australia Pass pay for itself in 4 days? 

Ski and board year round at Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham during the 2020 winter season and at Whistler Blackcomb, the Best of the U.S. and Japan during their 2020/2021 winter season for less than the price of 4 x 1 day lift tickets at Vail.

Refunds and Cancellations:

If I purchase an Epic Australia Pass, can I get a refund or cancel my purchase? Can I transfer my pass or defer to a future season?

Except as provided under the Australian Consumer Law, in our Terms and Conditions or if you have purchased Pass Refund Protection, the Epic Australia Pass is a non-cancellable, non-refundable purchase. Neither the initial part payment or the full payment (or pass) can be cancelled or refunded, and the pass (or the amount paid for the pass) cannot be transferred or deferred to a future season.

What is Pass Refund Protection?

Pass Refund Protection is offered to cover your Epic Australia Pass purchase when the unexpected happens. It protects against a range of covered incidents, such as serious sickness or injury, employer-initiated relocation, complications of pregnancy, normal pregnancy or childbirth (among others) which prevent you from using your Epic Australia Pass for the 2020 Australian winter season, enabling you to cancel your pass pre-season or obtain a pro-rata reimbursement during the season (depending on when the covered incident occurs).

Pass Refund Protection is for Epic Australia Pass(es) valid during the 2020 Australian winter season and 2020-2021 Northern Hemisphere winter season. 

If you elect not to purchase Pass Refund Protection, your Epic Australia Pass(es) are not able to be cancelled or refunded if your circumstances change. Except as provided under the Australian Consumer Law, in our Terms and Conditions or if you have purchased Pass Refund Protection, the Epic Australia Pass is a non-cancellable, non-refundable purchase. The Epic Australia Pass (or amount paid for the pass) cannot be transferred or deferred to a future season.

How does Pass Refund Protection Work?

Once you purchase Pass Refund Protection:

  • Pre-Season Pass Cancellations: For covered incidents that occur prior to the start of the 2020 Australian winter season, we will reimburse the cost of your Epic Australia Pass if you're unable to use it for the entire 2020 Australian winter season.
  • Season Interruption Reimbursements (pro-rated): For covered incidents that occur after the start of the 2020 Australian winter season,  we will reimburse the cost of the pass minus a daily usage fee (AU$111 for Adults, AU$67 for Students and AU$80 for Seniors) for every day used up to the face value of the Epic Australian Pass if you are no longer able to use the pass for the remainder of the 2020 Australian winter season.

Once a refund has been processed using Pass Refund Protection, the Epic Australia Pass will be deactivated, and cannot be used for the remainder of the 2020 Australian winter season or the 2020/21 Northern Hemisphere winter season.

If I purchase an Epic Australia Pass now, can I purchase Pass Refund Protection?

Yes, protect your Epic Australia Pass purchase with Pass Refund Protection for an additional AU$25 for Adults, AU$15 for Students and AU$20 for Seniors. Pass Refund Protection must be purchased at the time of purchasing your Epic Australia Pass.

Epic Australia Pass Age Categories:

What are the age categories for the Epic Australia Pass?

Age as at the 6th June 2020:

  • Adults: 15 to 64 years.
  • Students: 5 years to year 12 at Secondary school.
  • Seniors: 65 years and older. 
What are the age categories for the Epic Australia Plus Upgrade?

Age as at the 6th June 2020:

  • Adults:13+ years.
  • Children: 5 years to 12 years.
Who qualifies for the Student Epic Australia Pass?

Student passes are only available to children between 5 and 14 years of age and students studying full time at a Secondary School during 2020. A letter of enrolment from the Secondary School for students aged 15 to 17 years will be required before the pass will be activated.

What are the season pass options for Seniors in 2020?

For guests over 65 years of age as at 6 June 2020, the Epic Australia Pass is the best value season pass for Australians and connects Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham with Whistler Blackcomb, Hakuba Valley and Rusutsu in Japan and the Best of the U.S including Park City, Vail, Breckenridge and more.

Alternatively, for guests aged over 70 as at 6 June 2020 a Season Pass will be available in the new year for $199. The pass will provide unlimited access to Hotham, Falls Creek and Perisher for the 2020 Australian snow season but does not include international access or in-resort benefits.

What season pass options will there be for younger children in 2020?

For children 5 years and older, the Epic Australia Pass is the best value season pass for Australians and connects Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham with Whistler Blackcomb, Hakuba Valley and Rusutsu in Japan and the Best of the U.S including Park City, Vail, Breckenridge and more.

For families with children 4 years of age and under in 2020, there will be a 4 & Under Season Pass that will provide unlimited access to Hotham, Falls Creek and Perisher for the 2020 Australian snow season but does not include international access or in-resort discounts. The pass will be $49 and will be available for purchase in the new year.

When is the Australian winter season?

Operating dates for the 2020 Australian winter season vary across the three Australian resorts:

  • Perisher: Saturday, June 6 through Monday, October 5, 2020.
  • Falls Creek: Saturday, June 6 through Sunday, October 4, 2020
  • Hotham: Saturday, June 6 through Sunday, October 4, 2020

If I plan to ski or board on an Epic Pass or Military Epic Pass can I go straight to the lift?

No. Simply visit a ticket office in Perisher, Falls Creek or Hotham, provide your 2019/20 Epic Pass or Military Epic Pass as well as ID that states your name and date of birth.

Will there be a Falls Creek and Hotham Locals Pass in 2020?

No. The Epic Australia Pass is the cheapest season pass option for Australians in 2020 and connects Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham with Whistler Blackcomb, Hakuba Valley and Rusutsu in Japan and the Best of the U.S including Park City, Vail, Breckenridge and more.

When is the season in the Northern Hemisphere?

The Northern Hemisphere winter seasons generally operate from November through to April. The Epic Australia Pass will provide access to Whistler Blackcomb, the Best of the U.S. Rusutsu, Japan and Hakuba Valley, Japan from November 2020 until April 2021. Specific opening and closing dates will be published on each resort's website closer to the date.

What dates do Whistler Blackcomb and the Best of the U.S. "holiday restrictions" include?

2020/2021 Whistler and the best of the U.S. holiday restricted dates are:

  • 27 Nov, 2020 – 28 Nov, 2020
  • 19 Dec, 2020 – 31 Dec 2020

How do I use my Epic Australia Pass at Whistler Blackcomb and the Best of the U.S.?

Simply follow these three easy steps to redeem your pass/hard card media:

  1. Visit a ticket office in Whistler Blackcomb or any of the U.S. resorts
  2. Show valid ID that states your name and date of birth (this could include your Passport or Drivers License) 
  3. Sign a release form, have your photo taken and hit the slopes!
What if I buy an Epic Australia Pass and want to ski or board on one or two of the restricted dates at a Best of the U.S. resort?

Epic Australia Pass holders can purchase a lift ticket on any of the holiday restricted dates at a U.S. resort for 50% off the daily rate.

Alternatively, the Epic Australia Plus Pass provides unlimited and unrestricted access on these dates.

Which pass should I buy if I want to ski and ride at Whistler Blackcomb or the Best of the U.S. on three or more of the holiday restriction dates, the Christmas holidays, or without any limitations on the number of days at Whistler Blackcomb, Vail or Beaver Creek?
