PASS REFUND PROTECTION DETAILS

Coverage

Coverage under Pass Refund Protection commences upon payment for the Epic Australia Pass(es) (whether paid in full or in part payments) and payment of Pass Refund Protection for the pass(es). Once purchased, coverage applies for Epic Australia Pass products which are valid for the 2020 Australian season and 2020-2021 Northern Hemisphere season, and does not apply to any other products including a Skitube Season Pass.  Refunds under Pass Refund Protection will not be provided beyond April 15 2021. All refunds under Pass Refund Protection are the cost of the pass minus a daily rate for every day used (if any) over the 2020 Australian season and 2020-2021 Northern Hemisphere season up to the face value of the Epic Australia Pass. For example, if you make a claim in August after using your pass three times previously during that season, your refund amount under Pass Refund Protection will take three days of prior pass use into account. Protection under Pass Refund Protection involves payment of a refund amount, and does not enable pass transfer or deferral to a future season.

If You Purchase Pass Refund Protection:

  • Pre-Season Cancellations:For covered incidents that occur prior to the start of the 2020 Australian ski season, we will refund the full cost of your Epic Australia Pass (less any amounts paid for Pass Refund Protection or a Skitube Season Pass) if you’re unable to use your Epic Australia Pass for the entire 2020 Australian season due to a covered incident occurring or arising after full payment of cost associated with Pass Refund Protection.*
  • Season Interruption Reimbursements (pro-rated):For covered incidents that occur after the 2020 Australian ski season begins, we will refund the cost of the pass minus a daily usage fee (AU$111 for Adults, AU$67 for Students and AU$80 for Seniors) for every day used up to the face value of the Epic Australia Pass if you are no longer able to use your  Epic Australia Pass for the remainder of the entire 2020 Australian season due to a covered incident occurring or arising after full payment of cost associated with Pass Refund Protection.*
  • Once a refund has been processed under Pass Refund Protection, the Epic Australia Pass will be deactivated, and cannot be used for the remainder of the 2020 Australian season or 2020-2021 Northern Hemisphere season.
  • *Coverage is subject to the Terms and Conditions available in full here.
  • Covered incidents include serious sickness or injury, employer-initiated relocation, complications of pregnancy, normal pregnancy or childbirth, military deployment, employer termination or layoff, death of a family member and where your primary residence becomes uninhabitable.* Read the Terms and Conditions for details of covered incidents.
  • Coverage under Pass Refund Protection is not available in some circumstances, including for pre-existing injury, sickness or medical conditions. Read the Terms and Conditions for details of exclusions and limitations.

If You do not Purchase Pass Refund Protection:

  • Except as provided under the Australian Consumer Law, in our Terms and Conditions or if you have purchased Pass Refund Protection, the Epic Australia Pass is a non-cancellable, non-refundable purchase, and the pass (or the amount paid for the pass) cannot be transferred or deferred to a future season.
